About The Professionals

With over 25 years experience creating perfect party atmospheres across the UK, The Professionals have a rich history of keeping crowds dancing long past their supposed bedtimes. The band's extensive repertoire of hits from the 50s right up to the present day guarantee a great night's entertainment for every audience, every age and every occasion.

Success for The Professionals first came in the mid-1990s when the band was rewarded with first place in the televised Windsor & Eton's Entertainer of the Year Competition, followed by placing in the top 10 of over 2000 entries in the Yamaha sponsored 'Best New Band' contest (covered on BBC Radio 1). Since then the band has played hundreds of events and venues across the country including venues such as Blenheim Palace, The Gherkin, Kempton Park Races and the Kensington Roof Gardens, and with acts such as Bjorn Again, The Commitments, Geno Washington, The Bootleg Beatles and Edwin Starr.

The Professionals are made up of highly experienced and versatile professional musicians, who between them have played such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Shepherds Bush Empire and Disneyland Florida, as well as working with artists such as Duffy, McFly, Matt Cardle, Steve Harley, Bastille, Electric 6, Bowling For Soup and James Bourne (Busted). Some members of the band have also had success with their own music gaining BBC radio airplay and performing at festivals like T in the Park, Benicassim, Guilfest, Big Reunion and the Isle Of Wight Festival. Members have also had experience performing and acting as musical director in musicals in London theatres and onboard cruise ships around the world. The band's 5-piece line up consists of Vocals, Keyboards/vocals, Guitar/vocals, Bass/vocals and Drums/vocals. They can also add brass players and extra singers if required, and Danny and Dave can do an acoustic set to accompany any sit-down meal before the main band gets everyone dancing.

The band’s history of professionalism and dealing with the some of the countries most discerning clients and venues, coupled with their varied repertoire seamlessly linking the biggest hits of the last 60 years, ensure that your event will be a night to remember and your guests will be talking of The Professionals party for a long time to come…

What People Say:

"The band were fantastic. They were a little concerned by the noise limitation system at the venue, but the volume they played at seemed perfect to me and probably contributed to a larger number of "spectators" who may have sat in another room if the music had been too loud."
James Trundle - wedding reception - Hampshire

"We loved The Professionals! They were really lovely talented guys and had everybody dancing all night. Everybody wanted to know who they were and we would recommend them and Function Junction in the future to friends and family"
Faye Metcalfe - wedding reception - Hertfordshire

"The band were absolutely brilliant, we had lots of people telling us on the night how impressed they were with the band and I've never been at a wedding where so many of the guests stayed on the dance floor all night. We couldn't have been happier with them."
Oli Lazarus - wedding reception - Surrey

"Thank you all so much for performing at our wedding reception. We have had so many comments from such an age range of people saying how good you were on the night!!! You really were unbelievable and we enjoyed every minute of it. We would also like to thank you so much for learning our first dance song – we were unsure you would be able to learn it in the time we gave you but you did and it was great and such a nice touch. We are now nearly 3 weeks after the wedding and the band is still such a hot topic so we cannot thank you enough. On top of being great you were also very helpful, friendly and funny. We had all sorts of concerns over how much space you would need but you worked with what you had without a hint of fuss. We would not hesitate in recommending you to others and will be in touch for any future do’s we have ourselves!!!"
