DJ Adam

In Brief:

About DJ Adam

Adam has been running his disco since 1999 and has provided music for all kinds of private and corporate functions including birthday parties, weddings, office parties, Christmas discos, etc. He carries a wide range of CDs to cover all musical tastes and can also bring vinyl for funky house and trance if required. You will be relieved to know that Adam will not talk over songs like a 1980s radio jock introducing them in a DJ voice, he will simply play the right music, offer requests to the floor, and put on a good light show. The music is mixed to avoid empty gaps between songs, and Adam will generally build up the pace gradually, appreciating that most people don't want to dance straight away and would rather have a drink and a chat with quieter music before hitting the dance floor later on

Adam’s regular sound and lighting system is suitable for functions of up to around 250 guests, but can be upgraded for more guests if required. He can also supply a large smoke machine and a bubble machine. Adam can provide playlists too, enabling you to select a number of songs you would like played on the night. Adam’s lighting equipment is particularly impressive and is very close to the effects produced in a night club with shapes and colours projected all over the dance floor and walls.

For a typical wedding the running order would usually go something like this: set up one hour before guests arrive and disco commences (early set-ups can be arranged if required); start disco with soft low-key background music for arrival of guests and drinks reception; invite bride and groom to cut the wedding cake; announce buffet or food if relevant and provide unintrusive music whilst guests eat; invite bride and groom to dance floor for first dance and then invite other couples to join in for second slow song; invite requests for the remainder of the night from the floor; dip all hall lights; release small amount of smoke; fire up intelligent lighting; increase volume and play out the disco with all requests and party music and then last song – not necessarily a slow song as Adam prefers to finish with a full dance floor.

Adam has played at top venues throughout the home counties including The Landmark Hotel, Sopwell House, Tewin Bury Farm and Fanhams Hall. Our quoted price is for Adam arriving at 6.00 pm to set up and then playing for four hours till midnight.

What People Say:

"Adam was everything we needed in our DJ - he played lots of songs from our play list and the dance floor always had people on it. His last tune was my Mum's favourite song (she is not here anymore) and it was really touching that he played it off his own back - such a perfect end to a perfect day. So thank you! Would definitely recommend him to other people."

"The service offered by [Function Junction] was fantastic - 3 weeks to go and a panicky bride - and a DJ was found within 30 minutes. Administratively everything was quick and accurate and very friendly. Then finally Adam - he kept people dancing, was professional"
