60s to 2000s
The 60s to 2000s section includes “covers” bands with repertoires that appeal to all age groups. All play a selection of music, but they usually specialise in one of three areas: pop/rock - guitar-based bands playing Beatles to Britpop; ‘cheesy’ pop - Abba to The Village People; or soul/funk - James Brown to Jamiroquai. All these types of bands will get guests up and dancing. People often worry about their older guests being catered for musically but it is useful to remember that guests who are in their 60s now, were aged between twelve and nineteen in 1960!
