Who are Function Junction?
Function Junction was started in 2000 by Paul Johnstone and Jonny Stoll. Paul had founded and led his own top function band for several years, but decided to give up the rigorous touring schedule to start his own agency booking his old band along with other high quality bands that he had worked with. He also had the idea of using the web to showcase the artists he represented, under the catchy name of Function Junction. Paul turned to his local enterprise agency for advice on how to build up the company, and Jonny Stoll, his business adviser, thought the idea was so good, that he decided to join Paul in the business!

Jonny - a jazz saxophonist himself – has brought his wide business experience to ensure that all our customers receive a speedy and efficient service, where customer care really is the top priority. Paul is able to use his many years of playing at functions of all kinds, to advise customers on all aspects of choosing music for their party or event. Perhaps most important of all, as musicians, both Paul and Jonny are able to pick out the good from the indifferent, so that every musician or band that we recommend, will be able to provide the first class entertainment that our customers are looking for.

Paul and Jonny have now gathered around them a team of keen professionals who are equally committed to the company ethos of service and quality, led by Jay Davies, who joined the team in 2003 as administration manager.

Customer care & quality control
It's easy to pay lip service to customer care, but the Function Junction team really does make the effort to go the extra mile. That's why we were picked from over 1,000 entries to be one of the finalists at the 2004 National Customer Service Awards, where our entry was "highly commended".

To maintain and monitor the quality of our acts and service, we send out a questionnaire to our customers after every engagement to check that our service and the entertainment was up to standard. Over two thirds of our customers return their questionnaires and our ratings to date are: Excellent - 90.6%; Good - 8.5%; Satisfactory - 0.8%. We are happy for our completed questionnaires to be viewed at our offices. Many include testimonials about our service.
