The Love Junkies are a funky four or five-piece band playing music from Motown to Moloko. The band is fronted by a female lead vocalist backed by drums, bass and lead guitar. With the five-piece line-up a keyboard covers the horn parts, alternatively as a four-piece the keyboard parts are covered by using sequenced tracks. In either case they are able to deliver superbly accurate renditions of all your favourite funky hits from the last four decades. The band can also expand to an nine-piece line up with a three-part horn section and percussionist being added.
The members of the band have amassed over 50 years of professional gigging experience between them, and have worked with artists as diverse as: Martine McCutcheon, Morcheeba, Roy Wood (Wizard), Chris Difford (Squeeze), Renaissance, Brian Conley, Wishbone Ash, Shaun Williamson, Caravan, Toyah Wilcox, Gerard Kenny, Simon May, Daniella Westbrook and Dave Lee.
The Love Junkies have their own high quality PA and lighting system and play two one-hour or three 40-minute sets. Their price includes playing recorded compilations during their breaks, but for an additional £125 a full DJ service can be provided.
