The Jazz Dynamos are far more than just a jazz band. They certainly can play jazz, but their range also covers swing and cool jazz from the 1930s to the 1960s, classic 50s rock’n’roll, some 60s pop and some funky soul numbers too. This gives The Jazz Dynamos great versatility and means they can play cool background music and dinner jazz for part of a reception, and then switch up a gear to provide great dance music for all ages with a repertoire from Sinatra to the Beatles and beyond.

The band have a very flexible line up. They normally appear as a five-piece (keyboard, bass, drums, female singer and multi-talented male vocalist/guitar/sax player, but they can also slim down to a four-piece or add a second sax/singer to make a six-piece band. Our price is based on a five-piece band. The band normally play for around two-and-a-half hours divided into two or three sets, and can play CDs through their PA system during their breaks.

The Jazz Dynamos have played at numerous weddings, celebrations and corporate functions, and at top venues in London and around the country. Their cool image and polished performances have made them a regular feature at top film premiere parties and their credits include American Beauty, Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Batman and Scandal. Some of their more memorable engagements are playing at Tina Turner’s birthday party and Jennifer Saunders’ and Ade Edmondson’s wedding reception.
