This top band’s reputation is such that by special request, they performed at a private party for The Royal Family at Greenwich Observatory on Millennium Eve. We can only compliment their Royal Highnesses on their excellent taste, as this is a superb band playing everything from 60s classics to contemporary chart hits, with their unique brand of energy and enthusiasm. The three-piece line-up comprises Billy providing lead vocals and rhythm/lead guitar, bass guitar and drums/vocals, and apart from their royal engagement, they have performed at numerous weddings and corporate functions at prestigious venues throughout the UK.
Further afield, The Billy Franks Band have toured throughout America, Europe and the Middle East and appeared with top bands including U2, REM and The Boomtown Rats. The band have released seven albums and nine singles including one which and was in the the UK top 50, and Billy’s songwriting skills were described by The Guardian as "Penning classics while garnering praise from Bono, Peter Gabriel and Oasis". They have also appeared on ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Sky, MTV and VH1 performing on programmes like Top Of The Pops, The Old Grey Whistle Test, The Tube, Saturday Morning Superstore and Razzamataz!
The Billy Franks Band have their own PA system and lighting rig and normally play three 40-minute sets or two one-hour sets. Like nearly all our bands they can also provide pre-recorded music during their breaks and after the performance has finished at no extra charge.
