The Motorways are a lively three-piece pop/rock band performing a wide selection of classic floorfillers from the 60s through to the present day. With a repertoire spanning Andy Williams to Amy Winehouse this band can cater for young and old alike, keeping the different generations dancing all night long. At student events or functions catering to a more youthful audience they can also customise their sets to include more cutting-edge indie, modern rock and cool retro classics.
The band’s line-up is vocals/guitarist, vocals/bassist and drummer. Between them these three young musicians have a wealth of experience in the music industry having supported Nelly Furtado and worked with The Feeling, Jamelia, Gabriella Cilmi, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Will Young. At home, individually band members have appeared at The Hammersmith Apollo, Birmingham NEC and Cardiff International Arena. Abroad, they have worked in France, Tunisia, Holland, Italy, Germany, USA, Spain, Malta and Sardinia. They have also performed in tribute bands celebrating the music of Queen, ABBA, The Beatles, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Sting, George Michael, Kylie Minogue, Green Day, Scissor Sisters, Beegees, Supertramp, James Bond, Glam Rock, The 70s, The 80s and many more!
The band can provide background music on CD and also have their own high quality PA and lighting system. They strongly recommend a performance made up of two one-hour sets although this can be extended for an additional fee.
