Rollercoaster

60s to 2000s

Rollercoaster are a dynamic three-piece pop band covering a plethora of party tunes from Barry Manilow to Blink 182. Uniquely, they can also add an “Irish” fiddle to their existing line-up of guitar/vocals, bass guitar/vocals and drums/backing vocals. As well as providing the energy and excitement of jigs and reels, the fiddle also brings a whole new dimension to any rock set.

Collectively the individual members of the band have recorded eight albums, nine singles and six videos which have sold in America, Japan and UK. They have also appeared on Sky, Channel 4, Virgin, Radio 1, Radio 2, XFM and GLR and toured extensively throughout the UK playing venues including The Brixton Academy, The Astoria, Ronnie Scotts and The Jazz Café. Corporate functions include the aftershow for the Pop Factory Music Awards in front of members of Feeder, Stereophonics and Goldie Lookin’ Chain, and performances at The Guardian Recruitment Awards 2005 and Sandown Racecourse Champagne Bar. The band have also performed at numerous wedding receptions and private parties.

The band use one of two world-class fiddle players, with backgrounds in feature film soundtrack recording and classical recitals as well as being steeped in the traditions of Celtic fiddle – credits include Van Morrison, Pink Floyd, Tom Baxter, Shane McGowan, Placido Domingo and Hans Zimmer, Gladiator, Shine, and Lord Of The Rings soundtracks, Riverdance, Covent Garden Opera House, London Symphony Orchestra etc.

Rollercoaster generally play two one-hour or three 40 minute sets, but times can be altered to suit the function. They have a professional PA and lighting system and can provide recorded music during their breaks.

Price: from £1,250 for 3-piece
