Topcat are a young, four-piece pop/rock covers band comprising bass/vocals, guitar/vocals, keyboard/vocals and drums. Despite their youth, this is a highly experienced group of musicians who are currently in great demand in the UK and abroad, performing at wedding receptions, corporate functions as well as entertaining the armed forces in Cyprus, Kosovo and Qatar. Recently they held a nightly residency at top West End nightspot Red Rock Central, where they backed Jamie Cullum and an array of competitors from TV's Fame Academy. They also regularly hosted media launch parties. One night, Steve Merchant, award-winning co-writer of The Office, even wrote the set-list!
Between them members of the band have entertained royalty, performed in the top West End musical ‘We Will Rock You’, played at the ‘Party at the Palace’ and at the ‘Pavarotti and Friends’ concert in Italy and even sang ‘Happy Birthday’ on stage with TV presenter Mel Sykes.
They can provide background music on CD and they also have their own high quality PA and lighting system to highlight the band. The band usually perform for three 40-minute sets.
