The Groove Regulators combine the best of classic funk, soul and disco from the 60s, 70s and 80s along with some cool recent hits so there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Youth does not mean inexperience, as this young, fresh and funky band have been filling dance floors up and down the country for over four years.
The band can perform as a five-piece consisting of female vocals, bass guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums/rapping/MC; going up to a six-piece by adding a professional DJ in their line-up for sampling and sound effects (who can also DJ the night free of charge as well); or as full seven-piece adding a second lead vocalist, as featured on the demo tracks.
Members of this young and talented group have played alongside Roots Manuva, Boney M and De La Soul and between them they also hold a clutch of degrees from the Academy of Contemporary Music. Whether it be on a boat on the Thames or up a mountain in Scotland, this band are guaranteed to get the party started, so get on your dancing shoes!
The band usually play two one-hour sets but times can be altered to suit the function. They have a professional PA and lighting system and quotes for the six and seven-piece include a full DJ service during their breaks and after the performance has finished.
