Mind The Gap are a Midlands based trio plus caller, playing the best in ceilidh music for parties, weddings and celebrations of all kinds. As a compact band they are particularly suited for small venues where space is limited. It also means a competitive price for restricted budgets. With their experienced caller and a repertoire of jigs, reels, waltzes and polkas from all around the British Isles and beyond, they are guaranteed to get everyone up on their feet and dancing.
Our quoted price, unless otherwise stated, is for a four-piece line up including caller, squeeze box, fiddle and percussion – the latter featuring a host of weird and wonderful instruments, on which the guests – especially children – are encouraged to have a go. Your guests need no previous experience of barn dancing as Mind The Gap’s caller will happily guide novices through the steps.
Two thirds of Mind The Gap were the nucleus of Scotch The Rumour, one of Function Junction’s most popular ceilidh bands until they disbanded a few years ago, so they bring with them a wealth of experience, having played in every kind of venue imaginable from the smallest village hall to the Great Hall at Worcester Cathedral.
Mind The Gap will play for around two hours over a five hour stay. During their breaks they can keep the music going by playing CDs through their PA.
